Snakebite claims two including a pregnant woman

Snakebite has claimed the lives of two people including a pregnant woman in the district on Thursday.Mahabuda Khatun, 22, from Dhamaura VDC was bitten by a poisonous snake in her sleep. She breathed her last on the way to Janakapur zonal hospital, said a local Roshan Saha.Similarly, 55-year-old Harinarayan Mandal from Ekdara VDC-1 was bitten by a snake while working in his maize field in the morning. Efforts to cure him went in vain at Jaleshwor Hosptial as the venom had already spread throughout the body. RSS
