Woman of Nepali origin shot dead at her husband’s convenience store in Texas

KATHMANDU: A Nepali-American woman was shot dead in Texas of the United States on Wednesday, local media reported.
The victim has been identified as Nepal-born Samira Siwakoti (31), who worked as a clerk at the Rapido Convenience Store in The Colony, owned by her husband Nabaraj Siwakoti.
The reports, however, have not mentioned anything about her original address in Nepal.
The Siwakoti couple who were residing in Denton has two daughters including one six-month-old, according to local authorities.
A man had entered the store before 11 am yesterday and spent less than 90 seconds to steal some cash and kill the woman, reported the Working for All Alike (WFAA) media network.
The surveillance camera has captured an image of a man with a towel on his head.
“Police are searching for a black male believed to be between 25 and 35-years- old. Police said he had a white towel or rag on his head, and was wearing a dark blue or black, long-sleeved T-shirt or sweatshirt with two white stripes running down the sleeves,” according to the WFAA news report.
“After the shooting the man was seen getting into a black 4-door vehicle with temporary tags,” according to The Dallas Morning News report.
Meanwhile, Oak Farms Dairy announced to provide USD 10,000 reward for information leading to the man who shot and killed her.
