Rebuilding to be localised

The government has decided to localise the rebuilding project in order to involve the local authorities in post-quake reconstruction.Based on the Post-Disaster Recovery Framework (PDRF) prepared by the NRA, the reconstruction projects will be prepared and implemented at the local level in Village Development Committees, District Development Committees and municipalities.

“There is a need to integrate the PDRF with local projects to ensure effective implementation of post-earthquake reconstruction activities,” said Sushil Gyewali, chief executive officer of the NRA.
