Chinese Foreign Ministry positive about Nepal’s invitation: DPM Mahara




Aug 16, 2016- The Chinese Foreign Ministry received formal invitation for Chinese President and Prime Minister to visit Nepal in positive note, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who is in Beijing to extend the invitation said. “Our invitation has been received in a positive note. This is formal invitation from Nepal’s side,” Mahara told the post. DPM Mahara handed over the invitation letters sent by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to their counterparts during his meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday. Talking to Post on Tuesday following his meeting with Wang, Minister Mahara said the Chinese Foreign Ministry will now forward the invitation to the office of President and Premier. DPM Mahara, accompanied by Joint-secretary at Foreign Ministry Jhabindra Aryal, is on five-day visit to China as special envoy of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.  He said that he will meet Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday. The Chinese Foreign Minister hosted a luncheon on Tuesday in honour of visiting DPM Mahara at the Foreign Ministry in Beijing.
